Last Call Trivia is looking for a Trivia Host to join our team in North Canton, OH. This person will be responsible for facilitating a 2 hour Trivia, Feud, or Music Bingo night on a weekly basis at their venue. Wednesday availability is a must-have for our current hiring needs.

We are looking for candidates who are responsible, self-motivated, punctual, and personable. Those who can successfully multitask, promote on social media, and handle a crowd are ideal. If you love Trivia, the pursuit of knowledge, or learning new things, you’re our kind of people!

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Communication - Read trivia questions and answers clearly and effectively. Provide rules to Trivia teams. Notify teams of any relevant announcements.
• Performance - Interact and build a relationship with Trivia teams. Read the room and entertain the crowd.
• Multitasking - Keep score in the provided Excel scoresheet. Play music in-between questions using your own laptop and playlist. Answer questions from Trivia teams.
• Preparation - Print off materials (gamesheets and final question sheets) prior to show. Test audio equipment ahead of time to ensure functionality.
• Equipment Setup - Manage and set up audio equipment (provided by the company along with instructions and training).
• Troubleshooting - Handle potential discrepancies with grace and professionalism.

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation and the ability to commute a reasonable distance
• A laptop with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal reading and communication skills
• Exemplary time-management skills
• The ability to host your show with minimal sub requests (excessive requests off will not be permitted)
• Evening availability
• Shows are generally Monday through Friday in the evening, with most shows starting between 6pm and 9pm.
• One show a week is required, but we prefer that you are able to host more if you can.
• Prior performance or hosting experience is preferred, but not required
• Pay: $50-$55 per show hosted

Last Call Trivia is a fun and professional live Trivia company that puts on hundreds of Trivia shows across the country in local bars and restaurants. We believe that our role in this industry is not a zero-sum game, but rather an infinite game where we seek to help knowledge spread and lives change.

Though not required, Last Call Trivia offers a bonus/incentive program to Trivia Hosts who help us sign on bars or find other great Trivia Hosts.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour
