Compensation will be based on knowledge and relative experience.

The Commercial Roofing Superintendent will be responsible for supervising roofing projects within or below the estimated labor and material totals while upholding Roof Depot’s high safety and quality standards. Communicate project manager, associates, vendors, and client. Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety compliance and correct specifications are being met
• Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures to determine the best way for installation of the roofing systems
• Must be able to identify potential problems before they arise and determine as well as implement effective solutions to those potential problems
• Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs

• Complete daily and weekly reports; update management on project progress and issues

• Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate

• Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to management; makes recommendations for necessary modifications
• Required Skills/Competencies

• Must have knowledge and experience with multiple roofing systems (Shingle, Metal, Tile, and TPO roofing systems)
• Excellent Organizational Skills, detailed-oriented, self-motivator, and can follow orders
• Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
• Computer and Digital Camera skills required (Microsoft Word and Excel skills is a plus)
• Must speak English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus)
• Must met our driver eligibility requirements (Motor Vehicle Driving Record Report will be processed)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Education and Experience

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• At least 3-4 years of experience in building/roofing trade required
• OSHA 10 Hour, and Equipment Certifications as required must be obtained within first 60 days of employment
• Physical Requirements

• Must be able to tolerate extreme heights
• Must be able to climb ladders
• Must be able to climb roofs of varying pitches and heights (flat to 8/12 pitch)

• Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying and extreme climate conditions

Job Type: Full-time
