We’re an online art education company that provides art lessons, curriculums and support to busy K-7 art teachers through our website, memberships and courses.

Founded in 2009 by Patty Palmer, a former K-6 art teacher in Santa Barbara, CA, Deep Space Sparkle serves thousands of teachers in our art teacher membership, The Sparklers’ Club, plus provides free weekly content through our blog.

We’re looking for a Web & Tech Assistant to work in-house in our web publishing team, to help run our websites and ecommerce systems and be our web and computer tech helper.

Deep Space Sparkle provides art teachers with lesson plans, curriculums and a supportive community so they can help children thrive through creating meaningful art. We help over 8K teachers a month deliver a quality art experience to their students while understanding their value and achieving work-life balance.

As the Website & Technology Assistant, you will help set up and maintain a suite of websites and web services. You will be responsible for uploading content, testing, generating reports, sorting out website issues, and much more.

The person will work in our downtown Santa Barbara office and will work in our content and operations team.

The Website & Technology Assistant will beresponsible for setting up and ongoing administration, maintenance and support of several company websites and related web systems. The specialist will also provide support for internal software and computer or high tech projects.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the Web Admin for our company websites and several Saas systems. Wordpress experience preferred.
  • Media Publishing (for example AWS and video platforms)
  • Managing Email lists and campaigns (for example Mail Chimp, ConvertKit or Klaviyo)
  • Integrating & managing data between websites & generating reports (for example, Zapier, Google Sheets, Google Analytics)
  • Technical support for staff desktops & web services (MacOS and G-suite)

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Community College 2 year Computer Tech Program or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of professional experience in related areas (preferred)
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skill in both written and spoken language

You’ll work in our downtown Santa Barbara office with our marketing, publishing and operations team.

We are not accepting remote candidates for this position.

Hours for this position are 8-4pm Monday-Friday.

Compensation $25+/hr more depending on experience.
