To serve as a planner, coordinator, and primary IS client liaison for all large, complex, voice installations and renovations and/or ACD related projects. Primary IS liaison to Facilities Planning in acting as a subcontractor. Telecommunication components analyzed, designed, estimated, and coordinated through this position. Designs and oversees voice/data cable plant installation. Assists in development of standards regarding telephone equipment, cable, power and space requirements for renovations, new construction, and enhancement/expansion of existing telephone systems. Provide project leadership for complex service requests within a specific area of expertise. Provide leadership to others within the team. Communicate regularly with management concerning recommendations for improving customer services and support.

Coordinate all activities associated with an assigned project, including those that involve Facilities Planning, IS staff: Client Solutions, Infrastructure Operations, contractors, outside vendors, independent consultants, and clients to insure compliance with requirements, specifications, and standards. Initiate design recommendations for customer solutions based not only on TJUH's current operating environment, but on general knowledge of the industry's and the hospital's strategic directions. Demonstrate sound project management practices in addressing, reporting, and tracking all assigned projects. Maintain thorough knowledge of existing voice (key, electronic) systems and/or Contact Center infrastructure. Provide written solution proposals to customers including project cost estimates, implementation plans, customer/IS responsibilities, major assumptions and expected completion date. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

Additional Training Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. Equivalent of experience is considered.

Experience Requirements

Minimum five years experience with managing complex project implementations and a proven knowledge and understanding of the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital technical operating environment.
