Responsibilities:
The
Senior Operations Analyst is responsible for a broad range of managerial accounting-based projects and initiatives to analyze operational effectiveness, reduce expenses and improve profitability. Prepares pro forma statements, develops and maintains key performance indicators, monitors costs and efficiencies for various product forms, and recommends operational changes. Builds and maintains Power BI models and updates them as forecasted expenses change. Assists with budgeting. Develops SWOT analytics and reports on historical performance. Evaluates business opportunities including hatchery bids, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures, providing forecasts of major operational changes. Performs ad hoc reporting in support of lean and profitable operations. Works closely with operations, sales and accounting teams to understand issues and how they may impact company performance. Standardizes plant accounting practices and processes. Spends considerable time at each plant to understand operational challenges and opportunities for improvement. Requires frequent travel to processing plants located throughout Alaska. Other duties as assigned. This position is exempt from overtime and reports to the President & COO.

- 3+ years of cost accounting or analysis experience, preferably in the Alaska seafood industry.
- Experience with manufacturing companies.
- Accounting degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of accounting practices.
- Influential, collaborative, professional demeanor.
- Effective oral and written communications.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Experienced Microsoft Power BI user.
- Ability and willingness to travel to and work in remote areas of Alaska. This includes traveling and working in inclement weather and in an office adjacent to a seafood production plant (inherent hazards include moving machinery, ammonia, wet floors, noise, forklift traffic, etc.).
- Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Payroll Information
Pay periods are biweekly. Our workday is defined as the calendar day, and our work week runs from Monday through Sunday. Employees are paid on the Friday following the end of the biweekly pay period. We encourage employees to sign up for direct deposit but you may elect to receive paper checks instead.
