Lamers Bus Lines is hiring a Routing Software Support Specialist to ensure that student data and supporting data systems are efficiently used to create and maintain bus route schedules and is effectively utilized and serves the needs of the districts’ students.

This position will assist routing staff in the use of company software and troubleshoot technical issues that result through the installation, implementation, and use of that software. The right candidate has a strong technical ability and experience with routing software, strives to provide excellent support and training to staff throughout the company. The Software Support Specialist is an effective communicator that works cooperatively in a team environment and contributes to a positive supportive work environment.

Previous experience with routing software is required. The position will be working with the following types of software: Tyler Technologies, Versatrans, FleetVision, Traversa, Geotab, and Samsara. Familiarity with bus video surveillance systems and charter booking software from Distinctive is also beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set up parameters in the software that meets transportation requirements of each school district.
• Ensure that all implementation is working correctly.
• Perform operator level diagnostics and repairs on routing software. Coordinate with software vendors on major issues.
• Serve as team leader, including training, for the routing and scheduling of student transportation
• Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines while working with frequent interruptions and minimum supervision
• Be the primary resource for software questions from routing staff.

Lamers Bus Lines has locations throughout Wisconsin and this position can be based out of any of the major hubs in the region, including Green Bay, Appleton, Wausau, Madison, or Milwaukee.
