We are looking for a seasoned QA Director, to work for one of our clients, an electronics manufacturer, located in Melville, NY.

This is a permanent, full-time job.

In this role you will be responsible for the company’s quality assurance and control policies, objectives, plans, procedures, and audits.

The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant science and a minimum of ten years of experience in quality assurance (AS9100 and ISO9001), including at least five years in a managerial role. Must have experience with electronics and IPC standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish, implement and develop basic policies, goals, plans, programs, standards, and techniques necessary to carry out the goals and objectives of the Quality Assurance and Control program.
• Develop and manage methods and systems for measuring the degree of the Company’s quality goals, objectives and standards.
• Represent the Company in various government and industry associations.
• Investigate, analyze, and adjust customer complaints regarding quality.
• Review contractual documents for customer-imposed quality requirements.
• Implement audit requirements for control of quality. Maintain audit records.
• Issue Corrective/Preventive Action when required. Maintain CAR records.
• Plan, promote, and organize employee training for Quality, ESD, AS/ISO Awareness, and IPC standards.
• Assure calibration system is maintained in accordance with Company procedures.
• Review the job performance of personnel reporting to this position and makes recommendations regarding retention, promotions, transfers, reclassifications, and salary increases.
• Analyze cost effectiveness of all programs.
• Responsible for budgeting and resource planning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
