LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Payroll Analyst for a multi-billion dollar supply chain and logistics client located in Southfield, MI. This role reports to the Payroll Manager and will be responsible for various payroll and time & attendance related activities.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in regular weekly/bi-weekly/monthly on cycle payroll processes to ensure on time and accurate payroll deliverables
• Manage and resolve and payroll and time and attendance related issues as needed.
• Upload all compensation related information into the payroll system
• Run periodic payroll reports and support general ledger activities
• Create and maintain documentation of payroll processes
• Administer any updates to the payroll system
• Ensure all time & labor input is processed accurately
• Process all manual time adjustments
• Understand and ensure compliance of wage and hour laws
• Balance time keeping systems to payroll systems to ensure data integrity
• Ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business required in lieu of relevant payroll experience
• Three or more years of payroll processing experience
• Proven attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality
• Understanding of pay calculations, payroll processes, pay standards and wage and hour laws
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with human capital management enterprise platforms such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Workday, etc. preferred
• Experience with ADP eTime and/or Kronos preferred
• CPP Certification preferred
• Ability to think critically and question the status quo
• Strong ability to collaborate with other team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Strong knowledge of accounting related to payroll processing
