Borton-Lawson is looking for an Instrumentation and P&ID Specialist with an Oil and Gas background to help us with our growing workload of oil & gas projects. Candidate should be a well-organized, highly motivated individual who works well in a team environment. Candidate can be remote or can report into our Wilkes-Barre or Wexford, PA offices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Independently select and specify instrumentation for O&G projects.
• Develop and update facility P&IDs including instrumentation, control, tagging and valving.
• PLC and RTU panel wiring and loop diagram design and updates.
• Onsite asbuilting of various types of instrumentation, RTU and PLC panels.
• Interface with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors.
• Lead and review work of designer/drafters to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance to drafting team as needed to ensure adherence to client specific standards.
• Create and update cause & effect diagrams and control narratives.
• Excellent people skills (peers, customers, staff, subcontractors).
• 20% domestic travel expected.

Required Experience:

• Associates degree or Certification and 7 years of related experience.
• Experience in Oil & Gas Industry preferred.
• Experience in drawing develop with AutoCAD design software.
• Familiarity with Cadworx or Plant 3D Smart P&ID is a plus.
