Operator II Job at ChemTreat
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Operator II, Production, ensures that production schedules are met using proper utilization of raw material chemicals, equipment and personnel and blends raw material chemicals by ChemTreat’ s Quality Standard to produce finished product inventory.
PRODUCTION SKILLS
Ability to safely operator a forklift.
Maneuver inventory throughout the manufacturing facility; includes pulling, staging, labeling, banding, packaging (including direct fill) and palletizing.
Understand basic pump and valving flow.
Maintain and complete appropriate forms, logs and data entry in computer system for process technology.
Ability to understand Bill-of-Lading.
Understanding of MSDS sheets and proper handling of hazardous waste.
Ability to operate small and large batch blending equipment and heat exchangers, dry-blend process, and all bulk direct fills and loading.
Complete sampling of finished product and work to resolve any issues with Quality Control.
Operate a Class 7 or Class 8 Vehicle.
Understanding of tanker equipment.

Ability to communicate well verbally internally.
Possess ability to resolve issues using critical thinking.
Must be quality conscious; accuracy and attention to detail required.
Must be a team player
Ability to lead daily management meeting
Displays willingness and ability to provide assistance to team in area outside of normal scope of work and ability flow to the work.
Demonstrate leadership in the areas of safety and quality
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent required
General knowledge of DOT Regulations
Basic Mathematical Skills
Proficient with a computer and applicable software (e.g. Microsoft Office, D365, etc.)
DBS - Problem Solving Process (PSP)
DBS - Crucial Conversations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Constantly required to sit and occasionally required to walk, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell
Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, and computer keyboards, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and operate forklift.
Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and sometimes required to maneuver drums weighing 250-800 pounds
Required to be medically cleared to wear a respirator.
Required to able to physically access each of the manufacturing operation’s areas to perform the essential job functions.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT
This is a specialty chemical blending and packaging facility where hazardous materials are present.
Will be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures and work space restrictions.
Required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include: eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields.
The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.
