Job Description
Position Title: Medical Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist
Reports to: Program Manager
Position Overview:
As a Medical Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical clinic. You will support counselors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Early morning shift 6:00am-2:30pm
Essential Job Functions:
- Greet and check in patients upon arrival
- Administer UA, TB, and RPR test and document results
- Schedule monthly tasks for patients
- Complete monthly supply orders
- Orientate new patients to the program
- Verify patient insurance monthly
Environment/Working Conditions
Normal office environment, occasional overtime may be required and or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate
Physical Demands
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Manual dexterity needed for using a calculator and computer keyboard. Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Degree in medical assistance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
