We are looking for an experienced MDS Coordinator Registered Nurse - RN.

MDS Coordinator Registered Nurse - RN Job Summary:

• Oversee all aspects of the Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care Programs.
• Direct financial reporting staff.
• Oversee the resident assessment team for timely and accurate assessment completion for payment.
• Periodic written and oral reports/recommendations to the CEO and Administrator.
• Develop, implement and maintain an ongoing quality improvement program.
• Assist the QAA committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action.
• Participate with the Administrator to develop the Reimbursement Department Budget.
• Monitor Point Click Care “Care Management” areas to ensure accuracy and completeness of resident assessments.
• Monitor ABILITY programs dashboards (InfectionWATCH, RiskWATCH & CareWATCH).
• Maintain written policies and procedures that provide the foundation for a comprehensive Reimbursement Program.
• Develop and maintain a process of assessing reimbursement staff knowledge, job performance and competency.
• Review CASPER Reports for accuracy and investigate and report all discrepancies.
• Ensure the baseline plan of care for each resident is developed within 48 hours of admission.
• Assist Human Resources in the selection, orientation, training and evaluation of reimbursement personnel.
• Stay informed on Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) updates and Medicare and Medicaid changes.

MDS Coordinator Registered Nurse - RN Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with minimum of 1 years’ experience in nursing supervision or nursing management in a long-term care.
• Proof of COVID19 Vaccination Required.
• Prefer a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an MDS nurse.
• AANAC certification or the ability to obtain AANAC certification within 6 months of hire.
