POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs coordination of various administration of all types of leaves of absences.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.
  • Manages leave programs and policies in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and company leave policies, including leave requests intake, leave eligibility determination, sending required notices, forms and letters, and independently approving or denying leave cases based on relevant medical information and recertifying leaves in accordance with Company policy within required timeframes.
  • Ensures the integration of various disability management programs are facilitated as needed and any and all benefits are provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Oversees other benefit programs such as Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Workers’ Compensation, health benefits, paid time off programs and other internal and external benefits are coordinated with employees.
  • Responsible for the interactive process of requests for accommodation including the “return-to-work” process, ensuring consistency and compliance with state and federal leave laws.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with HR Business partners, employees, and managers, to ensure that proper communication and coordination takes place.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
  • BA or BS degree in Human Resources, Business or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and work experience; Spanish speaking is a plus!
  • 4+years of experience in benefits administration; heavy emphasis in leave of absence administration; can handle 100 cases or more
  • Experience with administration of benefits programs in multiple states, preferred
  • Strong computer skills - proficient in all Microsoft programs

COMPENSATION RANGE:
Potential earning is from $60,000 - $70,000 base salary
