Employment Type: Full Time/Part-Time
Shift: Weekends and some weekdays available
JOB SUMMARY
Provides treatment and diagnosis in the form of History & Physicals, consults, and follow-up care.
Functions independently to provide medical management to behavioral health patients in an acute care setting with a supervising physician. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the ages, developmental stages, and special needs/health conditions of the population served. Promotes a safe environment and performs all job functions in a safe manner. Functions under the general supervision of the supervising physician and the administrative manager as appropriate.
EDUCATION,EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Nurse practitioner - Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program that includes training for all age ranges of patients, and have a North Carolina nursing license that includes recognition by the NCSBN as an Advanced Practice Nurse (Masters in Nursing required).
Physician Assistant - Applicants must be a graduate of a program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the AMA and certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed in North Carolina.
