Emergency Department Ambassador will provide outstanding customer service to all members, guest and staff, distribute visitor pass based on the current visitation policy. Responsible for specimen pickup from all PODs within the Emergency Department and deliver to the core-lab, picking up blood from blood bank, transporting expectant mothers to Labor & Delivery, working collaboratively with clinical staff and Patient Experience Liaison in an effort to continually improve quality by completing patient rounds, meeting helicopter crew at the helipad to transport patients to the Emergency Department in a timely manner, and assisting clinical staff in retrieving medications for patients. Follow all written regulations/procedures and correctly completes assigned tasks without supervision. Assist in other areas as necessary. Essential duties included, but not limited to the following. Politely and promptly meets and greets visitors, patients and staff. Distribute visitor passes to approved visitors. Specimen, blood and medication deliveries. Round on patients. Meet emergency helicopter medics at helipad for transport. Transport expectant mothers to Labor & Delivery. Timely Delivery of Meds to Beds for inpatients Prior to Discharge. Qualifications
High School Equivalent / GED Basic patient care and/or customer service experience preferred.
