Job description
A Design Engineer is accountable and responsible for the design and layout of a system that exceeds the customer requirements. They will also maintain responsibility for accurate project BOMs and documentation through multiple stages of the project. The Design Engineer will continually engage with the Project Engineer and communicate all stages of the project effectively and efficiently to ensure the project correctly aligns with the customers scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities
- Draw, update, and maintain designs and layout
- Create project BOMs (Bill of Materials)
- Manage multiple complex projects at the same time
- Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer responsibilities
- Ensure that all design projects are completed within scope, schedule, and budget
- Provide presale support as needed (sale schematics)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree
- CAD experience (2D and 3D)
- Proficient in Solidworks in a professional setting
- Experience with Solidworks PDM is a plus
- Experience with AutoCad or Draft Sight is a plus
- Working knowledge of Office Suites
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
