P&C Underwriter (Bethesda, MD)

The Capital Group, a Baldwin Risk Partner, the fastest growing US Broker and is seeking a candidate with P&C underwriting experience. We are seeking an individual with Property & Casualty Government Contracting, Technology and/or Cyber underwriting experience. The primary coverage lines include are General Liability, E&O/Cyber, Worker’s Compensation, D&O, and Umbrella. All applicants must display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, exemplary customer service skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor of Science (B.S) or Bachelor of Arts (BA)]

· Prior underwriting experience is a must have.

REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

· Minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated P&C Underwriting experience

· Experience and proven record of writing General Lines, D&O, Workers Compensation, Cyber, and Umbrella

· Preferred high-level understanding of Government Contracting & Technology Risk

· Ability and experience in understanding client's financial balance sheet risk/financials.

· Must be able to deliver a distinctive and thoughtful experience that is aimed at providing appropriate advice for the client's situation that secures confidence and business

· Excellent interpersonal skills and face-to-face relationship building abilities

· Demonstrated ability to build a book of business focus on top line growth and bottom line profit.

· Create bespoke offerings to clients that are not readily available in the market place and outperform standard market placements.

· Solution oriented and effective decision maker focused on best needs of the client.

· Competent computing skills that include working with the Microsoft Office suite, CRM, and proprietary systems. Prior EPIC/Agency Management software a nice to have. Salesforce experience is preferred but not mandatory.
