Audiology Technician

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) diploma.
- Possess a minimum of one year of experience within the last two years working as a full-time Audiology technician.
- Have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is the only program accepted. BLS recertification shall be maintained in a current status at all times while the HCP is performing services under this contract.
CORE DUTIES:
- Audiology Technicians shall perform the following functions, within the scope of accepted Audiology Technician practices. These shall be essentially the same duties as those required of any Medical Corps personnel or Government civil service provider of similar experience and in similar duty assignments. Other duties shall consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Shall receive service members, explain methods of procedures, position service members, perform diagnostic radiographic service to service members. Technologists shall perform independent audiology examinations. Reviewing test results for quality control, contrast, detail and adequate demonstration of hearing.
- Document test results. Maintain documentation of all tests provided in accordance with CRC directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required by the policy. Ensure all documentation and reports are legible and complete. The HCP shall prepare all documentation to meet or exceed established standards of the CRC to include but not limited to timeliness, legibility, accuracy, content and signature.
HOURS:
- Hours are normally 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
- This position requires flexibility.
- Possibility to work weekend days exist.

- Must be able and willing to prioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects.

- High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
