We are looking for a skilled, talented and motivated Applications Engineer to support our products in this new exciting area as we apply our IoT technology in new application area. The successful candidate will be responsible for detailed system design and integration, technical support for customers, both telephonic and in the field. This person will be based in our Alpharetta office. The candidate must have good engineering common sense, be able to solve technical problems, work independently, and follow directions carefully. We encourage people with Electrical, Instrumentation and/or Mechatronics Engineering experience to apply however talent and ambition is more important than expertise.

Responsibilities

• Plan & design solutions to solve customer problems using Applied Information’s suite of hardware and software solutions.
• Develop technical design documentation in support of project solutions.
• Lead the test and approval process to validate designs and release product solutions for manufacture and deployment.
• Act as the technical point of contact with customers to describe and articulate how the company’s technology will be deployed in various applications
• Work with external parties to resolve technical integration issues.

Requirements:

• Education generally equivalent to a (2-4) year degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and specialized training
• Practical electrical skills and creativity
• The desire to work with customers on a technical level
• Project leadership skills
• Understanding of testing and quality processes and procedures and documentation systems
• Capable of working independently and completing tasks on schedule
• Self-motivated, capable of being self-supervised; and yet being able to thrive as part of a team.
• Must live in Georgia and be able to work in Alpharetta

Salary range is $60k-$110k and will commensurate with experience.
