Warehouse Worker- Dock Worker- 2nd Shift - 14.49/hr (Job Number: 2225655 )

Position Summary:

Responsible for the daily/weekly maintaining of pallet tracking (where applicable), audit of driver logs and trip reports, log and driver file DOT requirements tracking. Liaison for internal customer support. Track all return goods as directed by the customer for close out of returns from the private fleet.

Job Description:

Warehouse person must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

The person must have the ability to deal with processes and variables to standard situations.

• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Must be able to lift small containers totes/cartons up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to lift small containers totes/cartons up to 45 pounds occasionally.
• May be required to move heavier objects, with assistance.
• Will need to operate manual pallet jacks and other standard warehouse equipment.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, squat and crouch frequently.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods at a time.
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to climb a ladder occasionally.
• Must have adequate vision to accommodate driving industrial equipment.
• Must be able to differentiate color (labels, safety messages).
• Must have vision for close in work, also adequate distance vision to see part numbers at different rack levels or recognize potential visible hazards.
• Must be able to operate simple mechanical devices like dock plates & stabilizer jacks.
• Must be able to work up to 15 hours (emergencies only).
• Must be able to tolerate hot/cold weather temperatures, as the warehouse is not climate controlled.
• Facility might be noisy.
• Associate might be exposed to some vibration from equipment.
• Noise level in the work environment may exceed some person’s comfort level on occasion.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
