Thompson Tire & Retread is a local, family-owned, full-service tire business serving customers in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, and Davenport, Iowa. We serve commercial customers through competitive prices on a wide variety of tire brands and customized tires service, including onsite repairs and 24/7 roadside assistance. Additionally, we have a Goodyear Authorized Retread plan in our Dubuque location that can help our customers save money on their new tires. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the management of commercial tire inventory. This full-time position will work 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Pre-employment requirements include a valid driver license, background check and drug screen. You'll be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package.

Primary Responsibilities

• Move and organize tires in the warehouse by utilizing appropriate equipment to assist.
• Utilize inventory management system to code and look-up tires.
• Load and unload tires onto delivery trucks and trailers.
• Assist the retread team with locating and moving tire casings to prepare for the production process.
• Proactively watch for and communicate safety and equipment concerns to the Service Manager.
• Clean work area when needed and at the end of the shift to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Physical demands of this job are classified as Medium: exerting 51 to 100 pounds of force or lifting seldom and/or exerting 36 to 50 pounds of force or lifting occasionally, and/or 10 to 35 pounds of force or lifting frequently to move objects.
