The Role

McKesson Global Procurement and Sourcing is seeking a Vice President of Business Development & Sales Operations to lead our SKY Packaging business. (https://www.mckesson.com/Pharmaceutical-Distribution/Unit-Dose-Packaging/). Key growth areas include increasing sales of existing portfolio to existing customers, improving sales conversion on existing and newly launched products as well as partnering to create new program and sales opportunities.

The role requires generics and commercialization experience and an understanding of the hospital unit dosage market along with key channel market drivers for growth, customer and patient needs, industry threats and opportunities, and expertise in commercial activities. This role will both influence cross-functionally and build a function accountable for specific growth levers and account management activities. The role is based at a USA McKesson hub and reports to the SVP/GM of Private Label Generics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Along with SVP, develop and execute vision, strategy, and capabilities to evolve the business and deliver exceptional growth
  • Act as enterprise leader for SKY business across all of McKesson channel opportunities in which the leader is accountable for growth into key channels, and sets and measures progress against key success metrics
  • Manage ongoing, proactive, and actionable communications with enterprise and external stakeholders concerning product category trends, sourcing, market conditions, and industry-related subject matter to ensure having a comprehensive industry picture
  • Accountable for pricing modeling and associated analytics focused on SKY offering which would include active portfolio management, cost optimization, business intelligence, and profit expansion
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders to evolve the SKY label value proposition to enhance value for customers and patients
  • Serve as a key liaison with critical support functions including sell-side pricing, government price reporting, and all sales enablement functions
  • Develop an engaging culture that inspires and motivates organization to deliver exceptional results
  • Develop and drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Own results for commercialized portfolio of the SKY business
  • Establish the appropriate operating model and organizational design which will establish the critical success factors in growing the SKY label

Qualifications

  • F15+ years of relevant business experience including pharmaceutical strategy, market development, and/or product development
  • 10+ years of leadership and commercialization experience including sales and operations
  • 10+ years of experience with generic pharmaceutical manufacturer environments

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, PharmD/RPh or related technical field
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or Business or related field

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$191,400 - $319,000
