Vice President, Business Transformation Job at Robert Half
The Vice President, Business Transformation will report directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer. Together with executive, senior field and corporate services leadership, the VP will play a key role in the acceleration of Robert Half’s revenue growth and strategic initiatives. They will serve as a key individual to translate and transform our field operating model into strategies which can be executed. This individual will also play a key role in the definition and launch of all our customer facing products and technologies including digital delivery models with customers. The position requires an innovative and inspiring approach as a business-savvy strategist, creative disruptor and innovator who envisions the art of the possible and successfully delivers results.
They will partner with the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, Senior Vice President of Global Future of Work, Senior Field leadership and other business stakeholders to ensure our technology and systems are fully adopted and enable a world class customer experience globally. They will play an integral role in determining how technology, data science and sales enablement tools support and transcend our operating model.
The successful candidate must possess a passion for innovation with proven experience in defining and deploying a wide variety of digital products that will allow our company to achieve its strategic revenue goals. They must have demonstrated the ability to create and execute effective organizational strategies and transformations on a large scale, apply a deep understanding and expertise of digital trends, build coalitions that are passionate about innovation and digital platforms, and collaborate comfortably with Senior Management and Executive Leadership. This must be paired with organizational savvy and analytical skills that leverage metrics to inform, influence and educate a wide range of audiences. This individual must be results oriented, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects in a demanding, fast-paced environment. The individual must possess excellent listening skills as so to consider varying viewpoints while also having the ability to build consensus and drive change.
The position can be located anywhere in the U.S. with occasional travel required to California and other global locations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Communications
- Partner with a team of highly skilled professionals in the definition and delivery of world class digital products that enhance the customer experience and drive the business strategies.
- Lead collaborative strategy discussions with senior management and executive leadership to define new or under-leveraged revenue opportunities with current customers, and expansion opportunities with new customers and audiences.
- Lead cross-functional teams on the design and delivery of a marketplace/platform technology solution.
- Plan and implement a change management strategy to ensure understanding and adoption of new digital products.
- Help drive consistent and streamlined communication to key stakeholders and across departments.
Strategy and Execution
- Develop long-term strategies and sponsor key initiatives to leverage customer insights, new technologies, and innovations, considering trends and market conditions.
- Drive definition and optimization of technology that supports the growth of digital business capabilities.
- Provide strategic recommendations for transforming internal tools, the Robert Half website and mobile apps, and digital capabilities.
- Lead investment recommendations, business case definition, and ROI measurement to ensure the company is realizing return on its technology investments.
- Keep up to date with relevant market conditions, industry trends, emerging analytics, and technologies and business models to anticipate long-term needs and potential disruptors.
- Ensure the company has fully optimized all technology so that teams are enabled to accelerate class-leading marketing automation and customer personalization programs.
- Provide insight related to future Salesforce initiatives and partner with other leaders to make product decisions.
- Serve as a key consultant on data science initiatives for internal and external product development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field. Master’s degree desired. Equivalent experience may be substituted
- 10+ years’ experience leading digital or technology operations in large, complex publicly traded global organizations
- Experience in staffing industry preferred
- Digital transformation and lean/agile ways of working are required
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to conceive and execute on digital and data transformation that drives greater outcomes including revenue growth
- Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets, utilize metrics and make data driven recommendation and decisions
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce product suite
- Mobile and applications expertise required
- Highly proficient in product development lifecycle
- Proven experience leading in a matrixed environment, with ability to collaborate and work cross- functionally with leaders at all levels
- Demonstrates ability to design, implement and drive strategic vision, with a passion for excellence
- Strong team player who can build and maintain an engaged team
- Ability to remain calm under pressure; comfortable addressing difficult situations
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable with change and balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The typical salary range for this position is $213,000 to $288,000. The salary is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
