We are looking for an enthusiastic and team oriented veterinary assistant to complement our fantastic support staff at our expanding veterinary clinic. Experienced candidates would be preferred. We are specifically looking for a veterinary assistant that has assisted in surgery. Some of the duties include care of boarding and hospitalized animals, including cage cleaning, exercising, feeding, observe signs of illness, parasite and disease control, ability to restrain for procedures performed by technicians or doctors, administration of oral medications, and ability to perform basic grooming procedures. The Veterinary assistant will also help in performing basic in-house laboratory tests, complete forms for out-house laboratory, filing of laboratory reports, and cleanup of laboratory area and filling prescriptions.
