Pay Range: ULTRASOUND TECH - $32.42 to $68.25

ULTRASOUND TECH I

Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Tech II provides patient care services utilizing ultrasound equipment to provide general diagnostic, vascular or echocardiography ultrasound services in compliance with regulatory requirements; also responsible for image and data generation for physician evaluation, teaching and coaching ultrasound students, patient transport and schedule coordination and assisting with administrative support of the department.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Credential in Vascular required from either ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS)
  • Current BLS provider card

Education:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent

Experience:

  • 1 year acute care hospital experience preferred, related experience will be considered.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to follow the various protocols necessary for general ultrasounds.
  • Ability to perform these exams: abdominal, OB, GYN, small parts and assist in invasive procedures as directed by ACR standards outlined for accreditation
  • Ability to perform vascular or echo considered a desired skill
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and take call as needed
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills

ULTRASOUND TECH II

The Ultrasound Tech III provides patient care services utilizing ultrasound equipment to provide general diagnostic, vascular or echocardiography ultrasound services in compliance with regulatory requirements; also responsible for also responsible for image and data generation for physician evaluation, teaching and coaching ultrasound students, patient transport and schedule coordination and assisting with administrative support of the department.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Credential in Vascular required from either ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS)
  • One additional credential required :

If through ARDMS - Abdominal/OB/GYN (RDMS) or Echo (RDCS)

or

If through CCI – Echo (RCS)

  • Current BLS provider card

Education:

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent

Experience:

  • 3 years acute care hospital experience required performing general ultrasound exams and assisting in invasive procedures
  • 1 year acute care hospital experience with vascular ultrasound

Knowledge and Skills:

  • General ultrasound to include abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts and assist physician with invasive procedures.
  • Ability to perform either vascular, to include venous, arterial, mapping and fistula, renal arteries and mesenteric arteries or echo exams to include TTE, TEE, Stress Echo, adult and neonatal.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as needed
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills
