Job Standards

The Office of Human Resources is seeking an individual to plan, organize, develop, execute, maintain, and evaluate the City’s training and development functions to be aligned with the overall business goals and objectives of the City’s management team. This position requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of college with courses in education, human resources development, workforce development, business or public administration and two years of responsible training and development experience in a public/business administration. A Master’s degree and teaching experience is a plus. Current employees (where applicable) and persons hired or rehired after 1-1-17 shall maintain their bona fide residence within the corporate limits of the City of Springfield during all periods of service. Newly hired or rehired employees have 12 months from date of hire to establish city residency.
