A downtown Detroit CPA firm seeks highly motivated, hardworking applicants to join their team. A staff accountant must have at least one year experience and, at a minimum, is expected to work on assigned segments of engagements, in some instances assuming substantial responsibility for small engagements, sit for and pass the CPA examination (if not already passed) and be familiar with and utilize computer programs utilized by client service staff under supervision.

At least a bachelor’s degree with 150 credit hours or master degree in accounting, along with knowledge in planning engagements, developing a working relationship with clients, and demonstrating leadership and communication skills, both oral and written, are required for the position. Actively working toward passing the CPA Exam or relevant certification.
