POSITION SUMMARY
The staff accountant position is responsible assisting with the accounting operations of Wurth Construction Services. While prior staff accountant experience is preferred, this job also could offer a unique opportunity for a recent college graduate seeking to gain experience working for a $20BB global leader in the fastener industry. The vast reach of the Wurth Group allows for ample opportunity to not only become an expert in the financial operations of Wurth Construction Services at the operating company level, but also be exposed to the financial impacts to the group around the globe.

Responsibilities for Success

• Prepare and record of JE’s to close financial books each month, including overhead allocations, payroll accruals and allocations, lease capitalization and expense, debt interest schedules and expense, and depreciation and amortization.
• Create and lead process for consolidating all inter-company shared service expenses and allocating expenses to the proper entities and subsidiaries monthly.
• Review account reconciliations for applicable balance sheet accounts, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts.
• Support interim and year audit with the external auditors
• Maintain records for fixed assets, leased assets, and service contracts
• Assist is preparing and posting JE’s for various state and local taxes (sales tax, property tax, etc.)

Experience for Success

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (AACSB) required
• Strong detail orientation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook, 10-key by touch
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills; ability to research and perform data analysis
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Team player attitude and willingness to help where needed
