Robert Half is currently recruiting for an expanding company in Bonita Springs that has an immediate need to add a Staff Accountant to their team. To thrive in this position, you will need to be driven by a challenging work environment with many components. If you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation, you might be right for this Staff Accountant position.

Major responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and reporting.
• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision.
• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested.
• Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable.
• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation.
• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation.
• Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting.
• Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation.
• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP.
• Take part in various department-wide initiatives.
• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation.
• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments.

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel experience
• 1+ year of recent and relevant accounting experience
• Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
