This Wooster-based position leads the creation, design, updates and maintenance of all company web properties for the leading brand of premium beef. This role oversees the web team and its work to evolve the brand’s online presence while following web best practices, trends and procedures to ensure excellent standing for SEO and end-user experience. Successful candidates will possess the ability to problem solve, initiate change and work collaboratively with creative and content teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the plan and strategy for company websites, collaborating with outside agencies as well as internal teams to design, plan and implement the content and layout for multiple websites
• Lead and assist team in execution of webpage development, updates, maintenance and procedures. Evaluate code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, and aligns with current best practices.
• Create and maintain the SEO plan for the Website, working with content providers to ensure optimal SEO and user experience.
• Oversees web tools such as, scripting and authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications and digital media.
• Develop and validate test routines and schedules to ensure compatibility and consistency with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
• Directs and assists monitoring of all website properties for errors, and follows up on corrective action to resolve found issues, determining user needs by analyzing UX and user flow within the site.
• Work collaboratively with the design and multi-media teams to implement current layout principles while focusing on UX design and experience.
• Establish analytics for web properties and work with the digital team for plan for continual review and improvement.

Location: This in-office position is located in Wooster, Ohio with potential for partial week hybrid options.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position may be responsible for the supervision of staff.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Energetic and positive approach to overcoming challenges. Customer-service oriented
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and common web software; and familiarity with Bootstrap 4 framework
• Strong knowledge of WordPress with management of plug-ins
• UI/UX experience
• Experience with SEO practices and willingness to stay up to date
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively
• Ability to exercise judgment, initiative, and work independently within a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Required Education & Experience:

• Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, in web design or a related field
• 6-10 years of progressively responsible experience in a related field
• Previous supervisory experience
• Experience with large websites and e-commerce as well as revenue development
