You’ll work to implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database and leverage various tools to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement.

This is a key position in our Information Operations organization and critical to achieving success expeditiously and systematically in our IT modernization endeavors. As such, this resource must live in the Washington, DC Metro Area to easily support day-to-day activities in the Arlington, VA office.

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Design database tables and structures * Create views, functions, and stored procedures * Create and alter database objects * Ensure database management, quality, stability, reliability, and performance * Gather user requirements, identify new features beneficial to the business to deploy, and enhance functionality to address stakeholder needs * Support data migration(s), developing procedures and scripts to effectively transfer data * Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols * Troubleshoot and problem solve program related service tickets requiring developer expertise * Optimize database objects to improve performance and efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills and Experience

• 5-7 years as a SQL developer or similar role * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject * Experience with data migration, database management and database architecture Trident Maritime Systems, LLC [Address Line] [Office telephone number] | www.TridentLLC.com * Experience with technologies including SQL, MS SQL, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, PowerShell, Delta Lake, Synapse Analytics, Visual Basic for Applications Desired Skills and Experience * Knowledge of software development and web service interfaces * Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools
