Position: Showroom Lighting Consultant

Position reports to the Showroom Manager

Job Location: Chicago, IL

Job Type: Full-Time

Our Showroom Lighting Consultants provide sales and consulting services to trade/design customers, industry partners, and retail customers. This individual will communicate with customers, and internal departments on an ongoing basis to provide the highest possible level of service to clients, to complete customer transactions and to help resolve customer questions and problems.

Responsibilities

• Bring your passion for design and lighting to our sales floor.
• Provide lighting consultation services to in-store customers and assist them with the services needed to close a sale.
• Assist clients over the phone with lighting recommendations and purchases.
• Establish, grow, and maintain a strong client group based off in=store and over-the-phone consultations.
• Initiate and grow a strong interpersonal relationship with sales assistants, customer service staff, and members of other internal departments.
• Maintain open communications with clients regarding the status of orders, and resolutions to any problems that may arise during the completion of transactions.

• Sales experience in lighting and/or design is ideal. Experience in a fast-paced retail or wholesale environment will help you succeed.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Some knowledge of lighting or electrical products is a plus
