Job Summary

Night and Weekend Shift Supervisor for Residential Therapeutic Program serving Adolescent Youth, ages 12-17. Challenging but extremely rewarding! Join a supportive, therapeutic team and excellent working environment. Full-Time Shift Supervisor (3) 3p-11p shifts/week and (1) 3p-11p weekend shift.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide direct supervision of frontline staff which includes on the job feedback, performance management and assistance managing challenging situations to ensure appropriate care and supervision is provided to clients in accordance with applicable law, licensing regulations, and the facility’s policies.

Provide appropriate behavioral and mental health interventions to clients as needed.

Complete documentation as required by MediCal, Community Care Licensing and STRTP Certification.

Proactive communication with the Program Manager regarding any concerns with staff, clients, or program details.

Participate in team meetings regarding progress and service plans for clients.

Complete a minimum of 40 hours of annual continuing education.

Communication and collaboration with community partners including law enforcement, school officials and mental health providers.

Any other duties that may be necessary to ensure the health and safety of clients in the facility.

We currently operate two residential therapeutic programs in Santa Cruz County for youth who are in need of specialized support services and transitional housing to former foster youth, ages, 18-21. Our goal is to prepare the adolescents in our care to meet the challenges of life as independent, confident, self-sufficient adults. This is carried out through creative programs designed to enhance self-esteem, communication, relationships, and goal setting, which we believe to be life long skills for success. Qualifications and Skills

1. Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree, in addition to one of the below requirements:

2. Two years full time relevant experience or equivalent working with the population to be served, as determined by CDSS.

3. Have relevant experience as determined by the department to meet any of the above requirements. Advanced skills and knowledge of client care practice, assessment, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication.

4. Must meet all other qualifications for direct care staff
