Service Coordinator Job at Total Mechanical, Inc.
Under the direction of the Janesville Division Manager, the Service Coordinator is responsible for taking all commercial service calls and dispatching the appropriate service personnel.
Key Activities
- Take Service Calls. Take customer requests. Gain thorough understanding from customer of nature of problem or request. Evaluate urgency. Prioritize requests. Enter work order into the accounting system. Enter customer and/or location in accordance with Company guidelines.
- Dispatch Technicians. Match customer needs and/or location to available service technicians. Contact technicians. Communicate customer requirements.
- Technician Information. Maintain contact with all technicians. Track technician locations and call progress. Record information received from technicians.
- Recordkeeping Create service start up and balancing reports
- Warranty. Take customer warranty calls. Order required parts. Coordinate warranty returns.
- Quoting. Prepare quotes for repair/replacement work.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Company best practices..
You will bring to the position:
· Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
· Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 to 5 years’ service dispatch experience.
· Skills and Competencies
· Leadership Skills: This position requires the composure to represent the Company favorably under all circumstances.
· Technical Skills: This position requires proficiency with general office and service management software (excel and Spectrum preferred); and knowledge of HVAC service mechanical terms, tools, concepts and practices.
· Personal/Interpersonal Competencies: This position requires strong problem solving and analytical skills; the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment; the ability to make commitments and be willing to be held accountable against them; the ability to organize workloads to meet deadlines; the adaptability to accept change when needed; exceptional written and verbal communication skills, the ability to excel in a team environment and advance overall team objectives; the ability to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering excellence in products and service; and high standards for ethical conduct.
