Job Description:

• Server cleans tables and sets them to be ready for use by residents and guests
• Greets guests and hand them menus
• Announce daily specials, answer questions about menu items, and take orders
• Picks up drinks and food when orders are ready and serves guests
• Server observes customers to respond if they require additional service
• Cleans table and prepares it for next guest
• Cleans dining area after each meal
• Server maintains a clean server station and work area throughout shift
• Server re-stock assigned stations and cooler area during each shift
• Maintain and clean equipment in kitchen areas.
• Organize and put up stock when deliveries are made in freezer, cooler and dry storage areas.
• Maintain, clean and organize food storage areas according to supervisor’s direction.
• Assist in each area of department as needed, including: kitchen prep, dietary food service line, dish washing, etc.
• Cover areas of the department as necessary for call-off’s or scheduled absences.

Qualifications:

• Polite, friendly manner to deal with customers
• Neat, clean appearance and willingness to follow rules for sanitary food service
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently to provide prompt service
• Ability to keep track of orders and prepare checks
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
