Position Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible to perform a broad scope of duties such as maintaining the general ledger, flux analysis, supporting month end close, internal financial audits the Accounting department in a variety of roles and tasks as needed.

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field.

3+ years of relevant accounting experience.

Experience with major accounting software, preferably with QuickBooks Desktop and various third-party software peripheral “Connectors” to this accounting software.

Call 4 Health seeks a Senior Accountant with finance experience to work in our Delray Beach, Florida office. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated professional who is detail-oriented and able to work efficiently, meet deadlines and be a key team contributor. In this position he/ she will be responsible for all accounting tasks in the organization; manage all accounting entries, billing interfaces with vendors and internal systems, prepare financial statements and various other accounting / controller duties.

Responsibilities:

In the role of Senior Accountant he/ she will lead the Finance department and report directly to the Director of Finance within our in-house Accounting Department. He/she will be trained and work with the “in-house” CPA for the various duties and responsibilities.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Recording all transactions.
  • Timely preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures
  • Oversee all accounting tasks in the organization including payroll, expense reimbursement, handling accounts payable, journal entries, bank and other reconciliations
  • Liaison with the company's external auditors – preparing client schedules for outside auditors in timely fashion
  • Liaison with the company's bank, including account transfers, account reconciliation, loan compliance monitoring and analysis
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA preferred not required
  • A minimum of 3 years + experience.
  • Strong Microsoft and Excel skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency is a must
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior management
  • Excellent interpersonal communication as well as written skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous priorities
  • Proven organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to achieve results without close supervision
  • Understands the importance of deadlines and has a track record of delivering
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently, practical, hands-on, "can-do" approach and also has the strong desire to work as a member of a collaborative team,

Job Type: Full-time

  • Day-to-day management of client accounting and financial reporting accuracy and on-time processing of client information
  • Maintain general ledger including accounts payable and accounts receivable sub ledgers
  • Process vendor and customer invoices and related payments, including review of account classifications
  • Analyze and record credit card statement activity
  • Record payroll and related taxes utilizing payroll service reports
  • Develop, upload and post journal entries
  • Maintain periodic close checklists
  • Perform data entry and analysis
  • Review of general ledger for any missing transactions and overall accuracy
  • Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
  • Create and maintain monthly reconciliation schedules for prepaid, fixed assets and other accounts
  • Prepare periodic financial statements and related analysis
  • Assist with other accounting projects, as needed
