Senior Accountant Job at Boutique Recruiting
A luxury private club is looking for Senior Accountant in Delray Beach, FL. They are targeting someone peppy who is tech savvy, with an even-keeled personality to handle stress elegantly. Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Develops, suggests, and implements policies designed to control and coordinate accounting, auditing, budgeting, and related activities
- Assists with financial analyses by providing the information requested by management. Distribute monthly departmental financials to the various department heads and assist them with any inquiries that they may have. Attend the monthly Finance Committee meetings
- Post journal entries monthly, run trial balance and check accounts for accuracy, run financial statements, and close the month. Reconcile bank accounts monthly. Transfer assessments to renovation accounts on a monthly basis
- Check the aging monthly. At year-end prepare all 1099’s
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules. Account for additions and deletions and prepare a monthly schedule showing budget to actual expended
- Post payroll journal entries to the general ledgers. Pay taxes weekly. Transfer funds to the payroll account. Reconcile checking account. Prepare all quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns and remit funds
- Assist bookkeeper with employment-related issues such as FMLA requests, ACA compliance, and other insurance matters
- Keeps records of contributions and bonuses. Process the journal entry for employee distributions. Upload 401k contributions to Empower weekly
- Maintain a positive working relationship with the bank
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5+ years of experience in accounting including AR/AP, Accruals and prepays, and General Ledger
- Hospitality experience is a PLUS
