White Elephant Resorts is now accepting applications for the position of Sales Manager responsible for soliciting new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals in group rooms and banquet food and beverage. This will consist of telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, written communication and file maintenance with new and existing customers.
The manager will be required to represent White Elephant Resorts in a professional manner adhering to the company’s core operational hospitality standards.
This position is based full-time in Boston, in office, with an expectation of travel to Nantucket, Palm Beach and other key markets.
Must have 2 years in a similar position, preferably in an upscale hotel environment.
Other important aspects of this position include the ability to:

  • Sell and confirm business as required in order to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability
  • Solidly sell and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate energy and commitment to meet and exceed individual and team goals while having an equal passion for excellence
  • Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities
  • Acquire and develop new business accounts and prepare sales proposals for clients

Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and have a great sense of humor. Experience with computers and Microsoft Office essential.
