Job Summary
The University Campus Store is looking for outgoing and energetic people to join our team. We have been part of the University for over 100 years and serve a large and diverse campus community. The Campus Store is seeking a Sales Coordinator to oversee Utech (computer sales) and Educational Supplies departments within the Campus Store. This position is responsible for supervision of the Utech and Ed. Supplies sales floor in the University Campus Store. This includes meeting all sales goals of the department, providing training to all staff, managing the inventory, and assisting the Sales Manager to forecast industry trends in order to maximize sales. Provides extensive knowledge and experience base to the University community.

Responsibilities
Provides coaching and direction to the department staff to achieve operational goals.
Constantly reviews store environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to provide coaching and direction to the store team to achieve operational goals.
Resolves customer complaints, solves problems and deals with policy issues.
Determines staffing needs and address staffing issues.
Meets monthly budgeted sales goals for Utech and Ed. Supplies.
Managing, maintaining, and updating the Utech and Ed. Supplies web sales.
Assisting in tracking inventory levels, purchasing product, and entering purchase orders.
Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence related to the work.

Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in related field or its equivalent with 2-4 years sales experience applicable to assigned University department. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Depending upon department of assignment, preference may be given for a background in hospitality, marketing, communications, public relations, or athletics.

Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence related to the work.
Two years of experience in a customer contact center or a customer service position with focus on customer account data, responding to and/or resolving customer inquiries in person or via electronic mail, phone, or paper.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in retail/cash handling.
A minimum of one (2) year of supervisory experience in the field.
Ability to operate Point of Sale (POS) register accurately and efficiently.
Retail, customer service, and POS System experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills to provide a positive and professional retail experience for guests and employees alike.
