Route Sales Manager Job at Interstate Batteries
Interstate Batteries is a distributor of Interstate brand automotive, RV, Marine, Powersports batteries and more! We are a team of service oriented professionals who are looking for a new team member to take over a pre-determined route serving Yakima, Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, Pendleton, around surrounding areas. Job Description:
You will distribute, automotive, RV, Marine, and powersport batteries in a route service format. You will manage the inventory of very strong existing dealer network in a consignment format. Communication and relationship selling will be the primary mode of selling. You will manage the inventory on your truck to maximize your ability to meet the needs of our dealer network. This will be done using a handheld computer, which will create invoices and start the billing process. You will also be responsible to collect payment from your dealers as needed, but will have administrative help to complete this task. This job may require over night travel one night per week, but has mostly local routes. You will need the ability to lift and manage 100 batteries (averaging 40+ lbs) repetitively. Tools will be provided to assist. You will also be tasked with growing your route through relationship based selling. You will be driving a tractor and trailer set up.

2. Ability to work within a cohesive team to service our dealers
3. Represent Interstate Batteries with the highest level of professionalism
We offer a competitive salary, 4% match on a 401K, PTO on an accrual basis. Also, this position is salary plus commission, the more you sell, the more you make.
Our preferred candidate will have previous route management experience, previous sales or merchandising experience, strong sense of service, and the will to take care of your wholesale dealers.
