Roaster Assistant Job at Current Commodity Systems
Essential Functions
- Weighing and portioning green coffee for recipes
- Assist with green coffee handling; receiving, moving and organizing inventory
- Poses a firm understanding of all green coffee and its use within the CCS client portfolio
- Poses a firm understand of green be blend composition for all products/sku
- Maintain a tidy, organized work area during and after your shift
- Support and adhere to general organization of the roasting facility, SQF food safety, and GMP protocols
- Assist with routine roaster cleaning and maintenance
- Operate and maintain grinding department
Qualifications
- Highly motivated, hard working and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a positive and constructive manner.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Basic technical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment details and needs
- Ability to use warehouse equipment, including forklift, handcarts, pallet jacks, scales and ladders
Physical Demands
- Standing – ability to stand for long periods of time
- Carry/Weight/Lift – ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Perform repetitive motion with the hands, wrists and forearms to operate equipment
Position Type
This is a full-time hourly position. The hours of work are Monday - Friday with 8 hour shifts.
