The Encore at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a full-time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing Facility. The candidate should possess a passion for the senior population, must contain a Florida license, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and have the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents in improving their experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Complete assessments and implements Respiratory techniques to maintain or rehab patients with many different Respiratory illnesses/diseases.
- Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
- Respiratory muscle training
- Incentive spirometers
- Deep breathing and coughing
- Nebulizer treatments
- Bedside pulmonary function test
- Cardio and pulmonary with collaboration
- Complete a variety of bedside treatments
- Daily and weekly documentation
- Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
- Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
- Attend applicable IDT meetings
- Experience with a tracheotomy
- Experience is a long term care setting
- Follow procedure and protocol of the facility
- Completes tracking, auditing, and caseload management
- Performs related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
- Florida BLS certification.
