Registered Nurse (RN) Dialysis Svcs

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is a 139-licensed bed, general acute care hospital. HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.

What you will do in this role:

• Responsible for direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients on the Dialysis Unit.
• Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for the Dialysis Unit.
• Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care.
• Communicates with Nurse Director and House Supervisor regarding patient care, staff conflicts and unusual occurrences
• Ensures efficient, quality care of patients requiring dialysis.
• Assures daily charges are entered on Meditech.
• Assumes responsibility for charging the unit as needed.
• Assumes responsibility for on-call duty as scheduled, with response time not greater than one hour
• Models behaviors consistent with positive customer service.
• Adheres to and complies with HCA Code of Conduct as part of Ethics and Compliance program. Attends annual training sessions.

What qualifications you will need:

• At least 1 year experience required as a Staff RN in a dialysis setting.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Educational requirements appropriate for meeting age-specific needs of the patients on the particular unit on which the RN is assigned.
• Current Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners
• Current CPR certification
