JOB SUMMARY

Tests and inspects raw materials and finished goods prior to and during manufacturing of pillows using devices and procedures to maintain product quality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Product Inspection - Inspects all components and raw materials during manufacturing for compliance with Company and customer product specifications and requirements.
• Makes determination to release components for production or delivery.
• Develops and follows sampling plans by applying variable and sequential sampling methods.
• Inputs all sampling data results in the Quality database and prepares a report on the data collected.
• Communication – Must be able to communicate effectively with manufacturing employees, Supervisors and Managers.
• Leadership - Oversees pillow manufacturing ensuring that it meets Company and customer specifications and requirements.
• Resolves problems and reports unresolved problems to Quality Control Manager as they arise.
• Instructs employees on the methods to ensure the quality
• Inventory & Production - Makes necessary adjustments to inventory utilizing Company database systems.
• Determines whether defects are vendor or manufacturing, making appropriate system transactions to adjust inventory.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Basic math skills.
· Basic computer skills, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to adapt to flexible work hours and work in a warehouse environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to occasionally lift objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
• Able to occasionally carry objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
• Able to frequently bend, climb, crawl, kneel and/or squat.
