CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Caregivers and Adult Family Members to join our behavioral health program. As an Adult / Caregiver Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health the successful candidate will:

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments and develops and monitors treatment plans.
• Prescribe psychiatric medications and collaborates with the psychiatrist, therapists, case management and primary care physicians to facilitate appropriate medication monitoring and adherence.
• Serve as the team leader for care teams featuring therapists, family wellness coaches and case managers.
• Provide psychiatric consultations.
• Coordinate services with the client’s primary care physician.
• Complete timely and appropriate documentation in the electronic medical records for clients.
• Maintains compliance with regard to state, federal and CHI guidelines.

Qualifications:

Education (including licenses, certifications):

• Completed an accredited, Board-approved master's or postmaster's nurse practitioner program or other Board-approved program that awarded an advanced degree, or a course of study considered by the Board to be equivalent to that required for certification in this Commonwealth at the time the course was completed.
• Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry.
• Licensed as a Psychiatric CRNP in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Prescriptive privileges – DEA Controlled Substances

Experience required and preferred:

· Minimum of 3-years experience preferred.

· Bi-Lingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.

· Knowledge of Evidence-based best practices, trauma informed therapy and client-centered treatment.

Skill Competencies:

· Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

· Ability to handle multiple tasks

· Comfort working with computers and tele-psych technology

· Demonstrate a high comfort working with diverse populations and an understanding of the cultural and social barriers that can exist when accessing health or health-related care.

· Promote a positive team-based approach to treatment and care.
