Job Summary

Safely coordinates transportation and logistics to deliver cost effective and value added services to internal and external customers, in support of our vision of being the industry leader and enhancing the overall “Customer Experience”.

Responsibilities

• 
  Responsible for the daily execution of freight management, this includes running the OOR report and defining dates for shipment
• Dispatching: Review shipments, creating pick lists, route building including pickups, freight quoting, LTL tendering, stay in contact with carriers, vendors and customer as needed
• Planning: review planning report, attend daily planning meeting, attend weekly production call, work closely with DC and MFG for production issues, planning future freight, and take necessary calls to satisfy customers, including customer service
• Help in the assignment and supervision of the production work
• Will undergo all necessary safety trainings, including but not limited to LMS trainings, TM LMS trainings, and all plant hosted training, including Safety Committee Meetings
• Responsible for purchasing of finish products and raw materials
• Managing and counting inventory
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Skills

• 
  At least 3 years' experience in one or all of the following: Managing employees, TMS program utilization and/or logistics coordinator / manager

Physical Requirements

• 
  Ability to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment
• Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite numerous interruptions
• Strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds
• Vision to read printed materials and computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone
