Job Title: Production Control Clerk
Location: Fresno, CA
Pay: $25.25/hr
Purpose and Scope:
This position is responsible for maintaining work scheduling data, work status-to-date, process controls and forecasts completions and computations of various tasks on contract units. Prepares, transfers, systematizes, and preserves both written and computerized communications and records. Gathers and distributes information and accounts for stores of materials. This technician will provide interface support for contractor site lead and contract officer Representative (COR), government ground flight representative (GGFR). They will provide administrative support. Position reports to the Supervisor.
Essential Responsibilities:
1) Compiles and records production data to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production, performing any combination of the following duties.
2) Compiles and records production data from such documents as the customer order, in shop work orders, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures.
3) Calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
4) Writes production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.
5) Maintains files of documents used and prepared.
6) Compiles, from specifications, detailed production sheets for use by production workers as guides in assembly, modification or manufacture of products.
7) Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.
8) Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
9) Charts production based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
10) Sorts and distributes work tickets or material and compute wages from employee time charges and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.
11) Use applicable (ACN, ULLS-A (E), or SAMS-E STAMIS) type systems to compile and record production data.
12) Manage the work flow of work requests submitted through the production control office. Submit work requests to the appropriate back shop to facilitate inspection, test, or repair.
13) Adheres to all Customer and/or Company policies and procedures.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required (Duties include but not limited to):
High school degree or equivalent is desirable. Three (3) years of job-related experience including basic computer operations skills is required. Must be able to process routine reports, Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. Analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data, establish facts, and to take recommended action based upon applicable established guidelines. Basic knowledge of generally accepted warehousing concepts such as storage layout, locator systems, and proper material handling procedures required. Shall work with others and independently, predicated on the scope of complexity of operations. Shall be able to pass and maintain Government security clearance as required by the contract unit. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.

Work Environment:
The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. Shall be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

Physical Demands:
This classification activity is usually accomplished in an office/hangar/flight line environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office/hangar/flight line activities. Shall be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
