Job Description

Job Summary: The Process Engineer will be responsible for monitoring the Injection molding process window, as well as develop the process from the start of production for any HMS products; all while documenting, examining, and determining potential issues. They will assist in championing the automation equipment with existing and future technologies and processes at the plant as well.

Hours Required: 45+

Major Responsibilities

Communicate and work with HQ Manufacturing Engineer(s).

Identify potential sources for error in the process, and suggest solutions

Assist with documenting process parameters

Identify potential quality issues during the injection process.

Support the creation, distribution, and storage of work instructions (WI) and QIS.

Lead the development of secondary fixtures, assembly aids and other installation tools.

Comment on potential new materials, and how they could be integrated into production

Communicating with the administrative team on all aspects of production.

Validating new mold runs and documenting any potential issues.

Assisting developing solutions utilizing robotics/AGV technology

Develop solutions using automation technology with LEAN principles in mind.

Engineer, Design, and Build End of Arm Tooling for part removal

Develop proposals and execute cost reduction and process improvement activities.

Lead R&D activities for new processes, materials, and decorating techniques.

Assist in developing floor and equipment plans for manufacturing operations

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

Bachelor’s Degree highly desirable-specifically in Plastics Engineering

3-5 years manufacturing experience – preferably working with consumer products, produced via injection molding or other high-volume process

Familiarity with injection mold tool design and plastic injection molding process

Experience and familiarity with scientific molding, RJG, or other process specialties.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Microsoft office proficiency required
