Prior Authorization Supervisor-Business Office
- Full-Time Position (80 hrs/2wk pay period)
- Benefits eligible, IPERS
- Exempt: 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday
- Supervises and promotes goals are met. Assist with ongoing review of department processes to maintain a properly functioning revenue cycle.
- Supervises the Referral Coordinator and Prior Authorization Specialists
- Effectively demonstrates Leadership qualities, Serves as knowledgeable expert and information for staff
- Lead and implement efficient authorization and referral procedures to increase productivity
- Will analyze incoming and outgoing revenue sources and measuring different financial cycles, works closely with the Director of Revenue Cycle
- Act independently with the authority and guidelines of policy and procedures o Greene County Medical Center
- College Degree or equivalent work-related experience in health care, revenue cycle and patient accounting
- Provide Leadership that reflects personal examples of PRIDE
- Attend meetings to expand and maintain knowledge for position
- Handle and address employee and department requests/complaints
- Must maintain a thorough knowledge base on Federal and State regulatory requirements
- Two to five years management experience preferred
- HIPPA regulations and privacy of patient and employee information
- Computer experience is required; must have a familiarity with Microsoft Office products
