Press Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift Job at Dal-Tile Corp.
This is a 1st Shift position working Shift Hours Monday-Thursday 4 am-2:30 pm and 2nd Shift position working Monday-Thursday 2:30 pm-1:00 am. The hourly rate of pay is $19.20. This position is located at our Plant on Route 30 in Gettysburg.
The Press Operator monitors and cleans press equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
Major Functions and Scope:
- Monitors efficient operation of press equipment within control plans.
- Identifies minor mechanical problems and performs adjustments to equipment as needed.
- Performs routine cleaning of equipment as needed for color changes.
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
- Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
- Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Education and Knowledge:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- 0 -1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.
Competencies:
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good record-keeping skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Accurate measurement capability.
- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
- Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
